The Internet has been the greatest enhancement to global communications, while at the same time, literally been responsible for destroying marriages, families, careers and even caused the loss of life. Almost everybody knows someone who has been victimized on the Internet – either by having their identity stolen or in the worst case, having an innocent child be the victim of an online predator.
Nine million people had their identities stolen last year and will spend untold dollars and time in an attempt to get their “name” back, and they may not be successful. True, we can’t blame the Internet for “giving up” all the stolen Credit Card numbers, Social Security Numbers, Drivers License numbers, etc., . There are many other ways to garner stolen information (i.e. dumpster diving, physical theft, etc). However, the Internet is by far the number 1 way these stolen items are used. The “anonymous factor” created by the Internet allows people in Nigeria for example, to purchase products from a US based company, using a credit card number stolen from an Australian, and have the merchandise shipped to a US address, for eventual shipment anywhere in the world – can anyone stop this? The answer is yes!!
The technologists at SenditCertified have created the world’s first system to authenticate the identity of an Internet user anywhere in the world, based on a scan of their fingerprint. The first use of the technology is to protect confidential email communications, using SenditCertified, but it can also be used to eliminate all the problems previously discussed. Changes will clearly be required by vendors, merchants, credit card issuers, etc., to match a fingerprint to the card being used, but it can be done – the technology is now available and the impossible is now reality.

It’s frightening to know that our identities are sitting on the Internet waiting to be stolen.

It truly is a dangerous situation, which is why we are so excited about being the only company in the world to invent the technology that will help eliminate the problem. We launch in January, so you will be seeing information in the news about us. Happy New Year.

It is quite scary to think I have been sending sensative information by email. I want to check out SenditCertified. I have heard lots of good things about it.
